Metrics (selected country, Ahrefs Site Explorer, subdomains mode):Organic traffic = estimated monthly organic search traffic from the selected country.
Top 10 keywords = keywords ranking in positions 1–10 in that country.
AI Overview keywords = keywords where the site is cited in Google's AI Overview.
Top 10 / AI Overview keywords and SERP features are fetched only for each week's top 10 gainers and decliners (per country) to keep Ahrefs costs down, so for other sites or older ranges they may show "–"; organic traffic and AI mentions/citations cover every site, every day. SERP feature rankings = keywords where the site holds a SERP feature, counted per feature (featured snippet, sitelinks, top stories, image pack, videos, discussions, X posts, knowledge card or panel, thumbnail, video preview, AI Overview). A keyword where the site holds two features counts twice. AI Overviews on ranked SERPs = keywords the site ranks for whose results page shows an AI Overview, whether or not the site is cited in it; compare it with AI Overview keywords to see whether the site keeps up as AI Overviews spread across its SERPs. SERP features on ranked SERPs = the same 12 features counted on the results pages of every keyword the site ranks for, whether or not the site holds them; compare it with SERP feature rankings to tell "Google added more features to my SERPs" from "I won or lost features". AI traffic = estimated visits arriving from AI assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, DeepSeek, Grok…) from the selected country over 30 days. Direct traffic = estimated visits with no referrer (typed URL, bookmarks, apps). Both come from Ahrefs' all-channel traffic panel, a different model from the organic estimates, so don't add them to organic traffic. Ahrefs only exposes the latest 30-day window (no history), so it is saved as a weekly snapshot every Friday (first ones 2026-10-11/12); with Rank by set to AI or Direct traffic, gainers and decliners compare the 30-day windows ending on the snapshots nearest your From and To dates, and the other columns compare those same two dates. "–" means too few panel visits to estimate.
AI mentions / citations (Ahrefs Brand Radar, selected country): mentions = AI answers that name the brand in the text; citations = AI answers that link to the site as a source. AI Overview and AI Mode come from Brand Radar's Google keyword index; ChatGPT from its tracked prompt set. Each value is the number of answers in Ahrefs' dataset on that date, compared From → To. These are not the same as "AI Overview keywords" above (keywords where the site is cited in the AI Overview of a ranking SERP). Mentions match brand names as text, so a few brands that are also common words (Next, Target, Chase, Zoom…, marked ⚠) are overstated; citations match the domain and are unaffected. Universe: 300 sites per country of any type: that country's 150 biggest sites by organic traffic (news, sport, travel, government, retail, tools…; adult sites excluded) plus 150 Ecommerce, SaaS and Finance leaders tracked from the start. Each row shows the site's category. The min.-traffic filter (default 10K) hides small sites whose % swings are noisy. Rankings show movement within this set, not the whole web. Traffic is an Ahrefs estimate, not analytics data.
